1. Acceptance of these terms
By using the AFK Tavern website, game servers, Discord server, or shop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Who we are
AFK Tavern is a volunteer-run gaming community providing modded game servers, a community Discord, and an in-game item shop. We are not a registered business. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.
3. Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use AFK Tavern services. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian before making any shop purchases. By purchasing, you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Community conduct
All users are expected to follow the AFK Tavern Community Rules across our Discord server, game servers, and any other community spaces. Violations may result in a temporary or permanent ban at staff discretion, without prior warning.
5. Shop and purchases
All shop purchases are subject to the following terms:
- All sales are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.
- You must be online. You must be logged into the game server with the exact character name entered at checkout when payment completes. Automatic delivery cannot reach offline players.
- Character names are case-sensitive. Items delivered to the wrong character name due to a typo cannot be refunded or redelivered.
- Virtual items have no cash value. Purchased items exist only within the game server and may be lost in a server wipe, mod update, or server closure. No compensation is owed for lost virtual items.
- Chargebacks and payment disputes. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute may result in a permanent ban from the server, Discord, and shop. We reserve the right to contest all fraudulent chargebacks.
- Delivery issues. If an item was not delivered due to being offline at the time of payment, log in and contact us on Discord within 7 days with your order reference. We will attempt redelivery at our discretion.
6. Service availability
We make no guarantee that our game servers, website, or Discord will be available at any given time. Servers may go offline for maintenance, updates, restarts, or any other reason without notice. We are not liable for any losses — in-game or otherwise — resulting from server downtime or unavailability.
7. Server wipes
Game servers may be wiped periodically to reset the map, player data, or for technical reasons. Wipes will be announced in Discord when possible, but are not guaranteed in advance. Shop items lost in a wipe are not eligible for refund or replacement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AFK Tavern and its staff are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of in-game items, data, or progress. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a shop purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific item.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to ban any user from any or all AFK Tavern services at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Banned users are not entitled to a refund for any previous purchases unless the ban was made in error.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operators reside. Any disputes will be resolved in good faith through direct communication before any formal proceedings are initiated. Contact us at [email protected].
