1. Who we are
AFK Tavern (afk-tavern.com) is a community gaming server and shop run by a small volunteer team. We are not a registered company. If you have privacy-related questions, email us at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We collect the minimum needed to operate the shop and community:
- Shop orders: your in-game character name, the item purchased, and the Stripe session reference. We do not store your email or payment card details — those are handled entirely by Stripe.
- Contact emails: if you email [email protected], we receive your email address and message content.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs basic request data (IP address, page visited, timestamp) for security and performance. We do not access individual log records in the normal course of operations.
3. How we use your information
- To fulfil shop orders and deliver in-game items to your character.
- To respond to support enquiries.
- To maintain the security and performance of the website.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party services
We use the following services that may process data on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, CDN, and security. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Discord — community chat. If you join our Discord server, Discord's privacy policy applies: discord.com/privacy.
- Twitch — live streaming. Twitch's privacy policy: twitch.tv/p/legal/privacy-notice.
- Google Fonts — fonts loaded from Google's CDN. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Cookies and local storage
AFK Tavern does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a security cookie
(__cf_bm) to protect the site from bots. No analytics or marketing cookies are used.
6. Data retention
Shop order records are retained to handle delivery issues and disputes. We keep them for as long as the game server is active, then delete them. Contact emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced in our Discord server. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
